Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 21, 2026
FieldStamp is designed to keep photos and project content locally on your device. The developer does not sell personal data, show advertising or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Data we process and why
| Data | Use |
|---|---|
| Camera images, stamps, project names and optional logo | Processed and stored locally to capture, organize, export and share the photos you request. The developer does not receive this content. |
| Location, compass and nearby address | Processed on the device using Apple location and geocoding services to display and stamp coordinates, accuracy, altitude, direction and an approximate address. The developer does not receive this information. |
| Optional product interaction | If you enable analytics, FieldStamp sends an event name, time, app version, a persistent random per-install identifier and small fixed labels so the developer can improve the app. Firebase also creates an anonymous authentication user ID for these uploads. |
| Diagnostic data | Firebase SDKs may collect limited technical diagnostics to maintain and measure the reliability of their services. This does not include your photos or project content. |
| Purchase and subscription information | Apple and RevenueCat process an anonymous app user identifier, product identifiers, purchase receipts and subscription status to unlock Pro and restore purchases. |
Camera, Photos and location
Camera access is used only when you capture a photo. If you enable “Add stamped copy to Photos,” add-only Photos access saves the exported JPEG to your library. You can decline location access and keep capturing without GPS details.
Anonymous usage analytics
Analytics events never include photos, project names, coordinates, addresses, your name, email, or advertising identifiers. A stable installation identifier and a Firebase anonymous authentication ID can associate events with this app installation; neither is shared with other apps for advertising.
You can turn analytics off in Capture Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data. With it off, FieldStamp sends no feature-usage events. Apple and RevenueCat still process purchase or restore information when you choose those subscription features.
Service providers
- Google Firebase — anonymous authentication and storage of opted-in product-interaction analytics, plus limited SDK diagnostics.
- RevenueCat / Apple App Store — subscription purchases, status and restoration. The developer never receives your payment-card details.
- Apple location and geocoding services — device location and optional nearby-address lookup.
Data retention and deletion
Delete individual photos or projects inside FieldStamp. Deleting the app removes its locally stored projects and captures. Copies exported to Photos remain until you delete them there. Previously sent analytics remain associated with a pseudonymous installation or Firebase user ID; FieldStamp does not require a named account.
Children
FieldStamp is a general field-documentation tool and is not directed specifically to children.
